About Us.
We’re Kirt, Jen, Lucas, and Logan- a nomadic family of four traveling full time in our DIY expedition vehicle—a RAM 5500 Box Truck (affectionally called "Macho") designed to take us off-grid everywhere from The Arctic Ocean to the tip of Baja, Mexico. Built from the ground up in under two months, this rugged “EarthRoamer-on-a-budget” lets us chase adventure, wildlife, and wander—wherever the road leads.

We sold our “forever home” and left behind the traditional American Dream to pursue something more meaningful—full-time family travel. Burnt out from the daily grind and pulled in too many directions, we realized we were missing what mattered most: quality time together. Our kids are only young once, and we wanted to be present—to raise them ourselves, strengthen our family bond, and live with intention. Trading a house full of stuff for a status of (what initially was van lifers) "professional overlanders" gave us the freedom to simplify, reconnect, and focus on what truly matters. Less stuff meant more time—more adventures, more connection, and more purpose. This lifestyle is our way of chasing joy, exploring the world, and raising our family on the road.
Our journey into full-time family travel and nomadic living opened our eyes—and our lenses—to the wild beauty of the natural world. What started as a love for the outdoors quickly grew into a deep passion for wildlife photography, especially birds. Living on the road allowed us to spend countless hours in nature, honing our skills and discovering our calling behind the camera.

Today, we’re thrilled to share that passion by hosting immersive bird photography tours in Colombia, one of the most biodiverse countries on Earth. These guided photo adventures combine our love for travel, birdwatching, and nature photography, offering others the chance to experience the thrill of capturing rare and vibrant species in their natural habitats. Backed by years of content creation experience—ranging from brand campaigns and Amazon projects to event coverage and filming for YouTube channels with millions of subscribers—we bring a unique blend of creative vision and hands-on expertise to every tour.
